Stroke-by-Stroke

Cori Jacobs

What rises

I'm living in Manzanita, a small coastal town in Oregon, with the two dogs, Wally and Luna. They're good company, along with the ocean's edge, which feels familiar, although different, from Sayulita.

Work rises bringing small environments, spaces, interiors—to light.

Dear Cori, I have never seen your Stroke by Stroke action, both nail polishing and painting technique and thoroughly enjoyed the video. Such steady, pretty hands creating beauty in this world!

My work is language made visual. It speaks from my internal world of curiosities and concerns, drawing deeply from the well of our collective human experience. A creative journey—Each object, from painting, to cup, or garment represents a creative journey of intention, purpose and chance. Celebrate connection. Invoke a feeling. Be immersed in myth and meaning.
